Charkha announces the Sanjoy Ghose Media Fellowship for Women Journalists with the objective of highlighting perspectives of women in areas of conflict through the media.

The three Fellowships are open to women journalists and writers residing in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, for motivating and encouraging them to write research-based articles on the challenges and positive stories of women as the torch bearers for creating a more harmonious, peaceful and just society.

Eligibility Criteria:

The Fellowship is open to the Women Writers who are residents of Jammu & Kashmir.

The applicants should be between 25- 45 years of age.

Those who have already received the Sanjoy Ghose Fellowship are not eligible.

The Awards will be announced on December 7, 2007

Duration : Six Months

Value: The value of each Fellowship, inclusive of honorarium, travel and contingency is Rs. 12,000/-

(Charkha has the right to use and/ or reproduce wholly or partially the articles generated out of the Fellowship program in any publication without any additional payments to the writers).
